How to create Support Bundles
The support bundle window provides information about several aspects of your Oracle and Toad setups. In addition, the Support Bundle lets you easily report problems to our peer-to-peer mailing lists or directly to Support.If Toad itself fails, the Error dialog box displays. This type of an error creates a log, saved as toad.elf. This Eureka LogFile (.elf) contains both the application information and the callstack of the error created, and can be very helpful to Support in solving issues you are having with Toad.
To create a support bundle:Select Help | Support Bundle.
Review the following for additional information:
Email Quest Support
This opens the "Email Quest Support" window with instructions and links to contact Support, and to open a new case or service request.
Quest Web Support
This opens Quest Software's award-winning Support portal in your default browser, with access to Licensing Assistance, the searchable Knowledge Base, product downloads and more.
Attach TOAD.INI (or SQL Tuning Support details) to emails
If selected, this attaches the details to any email sent through the support bundle, whether it is to the peer-to-peer Toad list or to Support.
*Note: Please refrain from including private data in your posts. Be as thorough as you can with the provided info. We will reply to you as quick as possible. We are glad to assist you.

Toad for Oracle 188.8.131.52Oracle 10.2.0.5.0
I noticed that user cannot open even his own schema procedures or functions tabs.
"ORA-00942: table or view does not exists"
I have granted "execute any procedure". But in my own schema, I do not need this grant also.
What I can see is other schema packages for instance. So this grant "execute any procedure" indeed works.
Problem looks to be only with 10g databases.
Is there something I can do without upgrading to toad 13 at the moment..? (additional grant perhaps..?)
Or is there a syntax error in these two queries..?
Hi,I am running a query in Toad. Produces 2 sets of results. Grid1 and Grid2When I export Grid1 or Grid2 to Excel, it picks up ALL data grids into one file.Is there a way to export one Grid at a time?
One of the features of the older TOAD's comparison tool was that it allowed for the details of the comparison to be seen. This made it easier to see exactly differences were being addressed by each of the items. In the current Compare Schema, the functionality to see the details is there, but it requires a mouse click to pop-up the screen, and another to remove the screen. When each difference is being reviewed and there are hundreds of differences, this makes the review process take much longer than required.
What I would like to see changed is on the "Difference Details" tab, to make the it into a split screen, such that the existing Tree View would be displayed on the left hand side, and on the right hand side that two more panes be displayed with right top pane containing the detail view and the bottom pane showing the DDL Script. This would eliminate streamline the review process and drastically reduce the amount of effort required for large reviews.
On a separate topic, TOAD is currently not supporting an automated approach to re-order columns of a table if DBMS_REDIFINITION is not available. (our DBAs will not allow us to use the DBMS_REDIFINITION package because of security concerns). What I would like to see is an option that would create a script like this: Rename Table to some temp name, drop all triggers, FK, indexes etc from the table, create table using correct ordering of columns, add indexes, triggers, FK, etc. These are the steps that we are doing manually. Obviously, the DBMS_REDIFINITION package would be the preferred approach is it doesn't require downtime, but at least if this were a choice, then the manual work to recreate the table could be eliminated.
Thanks for listening and love the tool!
I have the next example:
create or replace procedure listaEmpleados(cursorMemoria OUT SYS_REFCURSOR)asBEGINopen CURSORMEMORIA for select * from HR.EMPLOYEES;DBMS_OUTPUT.ENABLE(1000000);END;
set AUTOPRINT on;
VARIABLE cursorMemoria SYS_REFCURSOR;EXECUTE listaEmpleados(:cursorMemoria);
But I have the Bind Variable "cursorMemoria" is NOT DECLARED. Please could you help me. Thank you.
Usage: VAR[IABLE] [ <variable> [ NUMBER | CHAR | CHAR (n [CHAR|BYTE]) |
VARCHAR2 (n [CHAR|BYTE]) | NCHAR | NCHAR (n) |NVARCHAR2 (n) | CLOB | NCLOB | REFCURSOR |BINARY_FLOAT | BINARY_DOUBLE ] ]

Hi John (I'm assuming that it will be you who gets this!)
I was using the trace file browser to look at a trace file, and I noticed a slight foible. I've attached, hopefully, a small trace that shows the problem. Server names etc have been obfuscated to protect me!
In the TFB, lower panel, SQL Statement tab, bind details on the left side, one of the binds is listed as having a NULL value, when in fact it is a varchar2 with a data format string in it. However, if I look on the right side, and check to "substitute variables back into SQL" then it does appear with the correct value.
This contrived statement shows the problem:
select to_char(to_date(:dte, :fmt), :fmt) from dual
It is, of course, a minor problem.
Good Morning;I’ll bet I’m missing something obvious. Toad 10.6.0.42.Issue, when I run a query all columns appear compressed and I get to mess aroundwith resizing in order to see both data and headers.I’ve the following settings:Data Grids -> Visual -> Column Sizing -> Size to Data – selectedData Grids -> Visual -> Column Sizing -> Min column size: 30I’ve even restarted Toad after saving the settings and the columns arestill compressed.For example, I have one field called Status, value “Approved”. Whatshows up in the data grid is:Header: STAT…Data: APPRThe compression appears to be consistent across all character fields, only thefirst four values are shown.Question: What setting(s) do I need to change in order to see the full headerplus the full data?It’s almost like the default column width is a fixed size and then you getto resize it differently after that. Just eyeballing the 10 columns that show upon the screen appear to be a consistent width in all the columns.Thanks!Roger A. SimoneauAlberta Blue Cross(780)498-8837
How do I solve the error "Cannot open the selected Model. The file "C:\Path_Name\File_Name.qbx" has unknown content." Some one asked this same question in this post but did not get a response or answer. I have been unable to successfuly reopen a a model since I started using Toad for Oracle several months ago.

I was wondering what the difference was between recompare selected (at the top) and the run button (at the bottom) ?
When I manually check for differences and also manually correct them (so not via script) then it looks like the recompare still shows it as difference, while the run button removes it from the list (like expected).
Are there any issues with this? Anyone having the same problem?
I don't know what I did but now whenever I decide to view the object palette, there is nothing in there
and I can't find anything that is obvious to help to restore to previous setting where you will see tables/views in different schemas
Any help is appreciate
In Toad 1212 all is ok.
We spooled the relative code when we did the operation.
In Toad 13.0 only we saw this as last action :
select spacefrom sys.dba_recyclebinwhere space is not nulland space > 0and ts_name = '<tablespace name>';
Why so ? What's the use ?
p.s. in older releases like 9i and 8i recyclebin do not exist … and we still have some old releases ...
Whenever I open the "Load Database Object" and select "TRIGGER", the contents of the triggers is now shown. In the screen print below I have "grouped" by Type to show that there 28 triggers which should be displayed. The same issue occurs even if I am not grouping by Type. Resizing the screen resolves the display issue.
The issue seems to have started once I started using the Beta release. I'm currently using 18.104.22.168.
With Export Dataset window, when setting the Export Format to "Insert Statements", the screen always defaults to "Automatically detect schema and name". It would be nice if the tool could remember my preference to not automatically remember the schema name. One way to implement this would be to change the Check Box to a Radio Button, and add two selection options of: "Automatically detect name" or "No Automatic Detection". In this way, my preference of "Automatically detect name" could be defaulted eliminating a manual step.
In the below screen print, it shows that RULE 3801 is not being followed. If I uncomment the line 1196, then there is RULE violation. The issue is that a RAISE and a RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR should be treated as the same so that the RULE behavior is the same.
When clicking Toad menues after a while of inactivity (~ > 20 minutes) I amgetting frequentlyerror popups telling me:ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channelIs this a timeout problem?if yes: From Toad or Oracle DB?Can I avoid this somehow?Are there keep alive messages form Toad to Oracle available?Ben-- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/Avoid-ORA-03113%3A-end-of-file-on-comm-channel--Timeout--tp27522157p27522157.htmlSent from the TOAD mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
someone might find this useful. It's a mirror of one of my blog postings on Community.toadworld.com - https://community.toadworld.com/platforms/oracle/b/weblog/archive/2018/07/12/generate-entity-relationship-diagrams-from-a-sql-script - where you can see how to generate a diagram of the ERD around and about a single table, using a script and the graphviz utility. Handy for those occasions when you find yourself on site, with no ERD diagram and work to do!
The original posting is on my blog at http://qdosmsq.dunbar-it.co.uk/blog/2018/07/generate-entity-relationship-diagrams-from-a-sql-script/ (but only because sometimes, the miro on Toad World corrupts code listings!)
Even though the client is 18c, it appears Toad is looking for oraldapclnt12.dll in order to populate the connection dropdown list.My work around was to simply copy the oraldapclnt18.dll to oraldapclnt12.dll and restart.Is there a better way? I assume this will be fixed in a future release (if it's not already?)
We are using Toad for Oracle Version 22.214.171.124 with Oracle 11g Client. Can you suggest ways of integrating git with this version of Toad. I came across few blogposts showing for Toad Version 12.
Please suggest how to integrate Git with Toad V 126.96.36.199.
This is my first post. I'm new to Toad and we currently don't have any kind of versioning in place. I have suggested we use Git so was pleased to see that you have Git built in. Currently, it's a very small team and we do a lot of testing in our testing server (in Toad) before deploying to our live sever through Toad. The only problem here is that we can't track how the code has changed. Much as we're sure that the new code works and does what it's meant to be doing we have no way to track how the code has changed over time, which would be good to help identify how the business goals changed and things like that. What I was hoping to do was basically use Git through Toad as a way to track how our SQL code has changed, as it's a very small team it's highly unlikely we will both be working on the very same file at the same time, in fact we all have completely separate areas of focus. So would this be possible through Toad, I was hoping for basically Toad to just push a file every time it's altered automatically, meaning that in 6 months time someone could come in and say "Oh, this was the code, but it changed on this date due to x,y,z" kind of thing. Is that possible?
