Exporting SQLNAV 18.104.22.16894 to Excel has bad DATE format
Format is "m/d/yyyy h:mm:ss \AmPm" but should be "m/d/yyyy h:mm:ss AM/PM" result is a value like "1/17/2018 12:00:00 AM" appears as "1/17/2018 12:00:00 A1P1"
I found mention of this on another forum where a competing product to SQL NAV also had the same problem, but I can't find any mention for SQL NAV.
Good day all,
I registered on this group only today - 7 May 2018.I never knew this group existed and only found it due to searching for problems I have with SQL Navigator 6.1 and 7.1.
I have been using SQL Navigator since early 2000's since V3, and have the last few years been working on SQL Navigator 6.1.
This worked fine for me for many years until our company recently installed Oracle 12. I have now issues with 6.1 in that I can not open, view or edit procedures and packages.
I would like to know what causes this, and is there a setting that can fix this ? (For V 6.1). When I attempt to open a package, I get this message : example
12:06:15 PACKAGE "PR_AM"."PKG_CALL_CITY_1" recreated12:06:15 PACKAGE BODY "PR_AM"."PKG_CALL_CITY_1" not found
--------------------------Then, in my attempts to get past this problem, our company had a V7.1 installation file, quite a few years old. I then installed V7.1. After my install the license was automatically upgraded from 6.3 as valid license, and I could work on V7.1. But I got many problems, and the nr one problem is that Navigator becomes unstable after I do almost nothing and prg crashes.
I then read up on Google and saw there were some similar problems with V7.1 release which were solved on later installations.
I now see V7.4 is available. I now want to install V7.4, but where do I get the installation files ? I do see the installation downloads on Quest website, but they require the client information and detail first, before I am allowed to download the software. I do not have this detail, as I do not know exactly and with what detail my company registered with Quest many years ago.
I just want the download file, preferably for 32 bit and 64, and I am quite sure our license will cover this upgrade. If not the software will tell me, and I can then pursue this further with our company.
------------------------------I would have no problem carrying on with V6.1, if someone can tell me why I can not open procedures and package.
We do have licensed PL/SQL Developer as well that we use for development, but I am a big SQL Navigator fan.
Thank you for any help.
When ever I try to save to file from the XML editor I get:
10:10:52 Access violation at address 753B5FB6 in module 'KERNELBASE.dll'. Read of address 11F71000
Running Windows 10.
Any ideas as to what might be causing this?
I edited data value of a grid on a table with commit - but the edited (or changed value) doesn't appear on the actual web host.
I mean, I edited a web value on database using SQL navigator - after running the script(commit) the changed value didn't appear on the hosted webpage.
Please need an advice.
What product would I use if I wanted to connect to both SQL and MySQL databases?
1、 do 'check out' a package
2、SQL Navigator generate 2 files for this package
3、do 'Check in'
4、you can find SQL Navigator exeute svn 'add' command but not execute 'commit ' command
so the two package files cann't find in SVN Server.
anyone know this issue?
Production Version: SQL Navigator 2017 Trial Edition(SQL Navigator 7.4 Trial)
SQL Navigator 7.4 64-bit on Windows Enterprise 10 64-bit is crashing with the following error:
Control 'dpCodeAssistant' has no parent window.
Has anyone seen this error or has a suggestion to resolve? Thanks.
We are very pleased to announce that SQL Navigator version 7.3 has been released. Thank you all for supporting the product and we really appreciate feedbacks and suggestions from you.
New features in SQL Navigator 7.3:
Connection Category Color - Optionally assign a connection to a category color in the Oracle Logon Dialog. Possible categories could be: development, test or production. You could create your own categories and assign colors as appropriate. The color is displayed in the following places in SQL Navigator: the connection entry in the Session toolbar, the border of windows belonging to the connection, task bar icons of windows belonging to the connection and tab icons of the Code Editor window.
New Online Search Dialog - When you double click on an error message which contains an Oracle error code, you can now select the online search engine to use to receive detailed Oracle error information from. Options include Google, Online Knowledge Base (maintained by Dell Support), Online Knowledge Xpert (maintained as Toad World Wiki) and Toad World Search.
Team Coding - The settings and backend repository are now compatible with Toad for Oracle 12.7. Git is now a supported Version Control System. There are new interfaces to administer Team Coding and manage Team Coding Objects.
Windows 10 - Support for Windows 10

SQL Navigator Team
Hi - I recently downloaded a trial of SQL Navigator 7.4 and am trying to integrate it with my SVN server. Here's what I've done so far
I connected to one of my databases, then I went to the Team Coding menu and selected Team Coding Manager
I went to the VCS tab, right clicked and chose Configure
I specified the following options for SVN
(Servername blanked for security reasons, but my server name is in the settings)
I then went back to the Team Coding menu and chose Provider Logon
where it prompted me for my username/password, and then it shows
so I believe I'm connecting to my SVN server fine.
Now what I want to be able to do is take all of my database elements (table DDL, functions, stored procedures, etc) and check them all into SVN so that I can start doing version control. This is where I get stuck, as there doesn't seem to be any way to do this? Are my expectations wrong, or am I just missing something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am new to this GIT version controlling system and i am trying to use SQL Navigator 7.4 with GIT version controlling system to maintain DB changes.
Initial configuration i have done and changes are properly pushing to Bitbucket also. But when i try to compare the change of the Database object ( ex: Table change) with the VCS through SQL navigator
( Menu path is Team Coding -> Team Coding Manager . Then expand the DB object and right click on the Table -> Compare Content)
When i select to compare . its giving below error message.
If anyone can help/ Guide to fix this, it would be great.

I have a process that runs daily that pulls down a csv file imports it and does some conversion and puts that converted data into a staging table.
I then want a plsql script I can automate along with the other process to insert or update the data from the Staging Table to the main table.
I will have several hundred thousand records per day and approximately 25% of them will be data that needs to be updated.

I want a script that will automatically put in the new 9/11 data into the MainTable and update the MainTable with the new values for 9/10 This is a small size example for 1 account but the file and table both contain lots of accounts for many years worth of data.
I looked at Merge and other postings however all seem to use Dual instead of looking at 2 tables.
Thanks for the help
I'm troubling making the formmater align keywords in ANSI SQL.
In the higlight part the join and on keyword should be aligned with the from
I want to make it like this
Any help is great...
When I run a SELECT with a related database (@...), I'm not able to stop this one. It still runs to the end.
We've just upgraded to SQL Navigator 7.3 (22.214.171.12494)
I extract the DDL for a view to include the grants. When I try to run the script I get ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended.
Troubleshooting show that I either have to take all the grant clauses out of the script or put an ";" at the end of the view creation portion manually.
Here'a sample query I've created that uses WITH clause with a function and some sub-query (my real query is much more complex, but has similar structure).
--CREATE VIEW TMP_ABC AS
WITH FUNCTION abc (p_val NUMBER) RETURN VARCHAR2 IS vret VARCHAR2 (100); BEGIN SELECT LPAD (' ', p_val, 'z') INTO vret FROM DUAL;
RETURN vret; END; gen AS (SELECT ROWNUM rn FROM DUAL CONNECT BY LEVEL < 10)SELECT gen.rn, abc (rn) abcFROM gen;
With the first line commented out, the query runs fine from SQL Navigator 7.4, formatter is able to format it, but if I uncomment the first line and attempt to create a view based on this query I get an error message.
line 1: ORA-06553: PLS-103: Encountered the symbol "end-of-file" when expecting one of the following:
:= ; not null default character
line 12: ORA-00900: invalid SQL statement
Using SQL Nav 7.4 64-bit, Oracle 12c client 64 bit and 12c database.
Tried Oracle SQL Developer and the view creation script works just fine.
I downloaded a trial version of sqlnavigator 6.7 , they sent me a mail with license key but it was expired. Please can anybody help me???ThanksSaman
Is there an option on formmatter options to prevent the parameters of internal functions to go the the next line and get stacked?
